Do not give a recorded statement to the “at-fault” driver’s insurance company over the phone. You will be contacted by the “at-fault” driver’s insurance company and they will be looking for you to say something that will be used against you.. don’t do it! Politely tell them that the facts are in the police report and if they insist on a recorded statement, let them know you will seek the advice of an attorney.
