After A Car Crash, Be Careful What You Say

If you happen to get involved in an auto accident, WATCH YOUR WORDS carefully. What you say can be used against you. Avoid making statements at the scene such as “I’m sorry” or “I wasn’t hurt” because these statements may be used against you or taken out of context by the “at-fault” driver’s insurance company. Simply state the facts of the incident to the police officer, review the officer’s notes if possible and get a copy of the Police Report after the accident.
